The Research Facility is a department of AGREA where the research needed for the registration (National or European) of phytosanitary products (chemical or natural) is carried out. This department currently represents the largest experimental activity of the company.

We operate under the GEP Certification*

* Good Experimental Practice, introduced by the European Plant Protection Organization (EPPO), guideline PP 1/181 (3) and certified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry.

WHAT WE WORK ON

All the crops in the main italian production areas

All targets

  • For pests and pathogens: EPPO guidelines

  • For beneficial organisms: IOBC (International Organization for Biological Control) guidelines

At any level of target presence, artificial or natural

Breeding of target insects (aphids, mites, whiteflies, thrips, bugs, flies, etc.) and the possibility of obtaining inocula of pathogens (Plasmopara, Phytophthora, Fusarium, Sclerotinia, Pythium, Rhizoctonia, etc.) in order to obtain an infestation or infection to desired levels.

On all products

Insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, nematicides, acaricides, biostimulants, etc.

In all environments

FIELD

Our experimental activity is carried out:

  • in test fields located in trustworthy farms, where we establish strict agreements to manage the test areas safely and independently

  • in our Experimental Farm, where vineyards, apple trees, corn, wheat, soybeans, vegetables are grown and especially it is possible to appropriately adjust the level of the target (for example through differentiated irrigation)

SEMI-FIELD AND LABORATORY

We have suitable facilities to work under controlled conditions:

  • automated experimental greenhouse with the possibility of cultivation on pots and float-systems

  • walk-in climatic cells and cultivation chambers, fully automated and remotely controllable

In all production sectors

  • Tree crops

  • Herbaceous crops

  • Forest crops

  • Medicinal and aromatic crops

  • Ornamentals

  • Horticulture

  • Post-harvest conservation

  • Non-agricultural areas

  • Weeding

  • Agricultural entomology

  • Nematology

  • Plant pathology

  • Agricultural zoology

  • Seed production

  • Harmful vertebrates

  • Plant growth regulators, activators, adjuvants

  • Biostimulants
